Simple Earth Hops needs your help to raise funds for sustainable farm events and innovative hopyard! Please get involved in this project as a donor via Kickstarter at http://hops.me/6up, if you care about beer and sustainability.

Kickstarter is a unique method for great ideas to receive funding through an ‘all or nothing’ funding method where projects must be fully funded through donations or no money changes hands.

Take a minute to read over the project and watch the short 5 minute movie.

This project will support an outreach event and will help with hop growing costs at a community based commercial hopyard-located in Wisconsin. The goal of this project is to cover some operating costs and the cost of hosting our next farm event where we use education to demonstrate to the community about sustainable farming methods and to share with others the economic opportunity presented by growing hops as a high demand local crop for small brewers. In 2009 Simple Earth Hops secured a USDA grant to recoup the cost of building our hopyard, but support for outreach events and some growing expenses is still need.

If you would, please see what you can do at http://hops.me/6up.

This is really exciting, I have already received am IQ request (SCAM!) from a [not] potential employer for this very ad which I placed on the Madison Craigslist.org website today. Here’s the [not-so-fake] resume (and below are links to some cover letters and resumes I currently use).

Before I tell you about my skills and professional experience, let’s talk about me and what I want out of my new job:

LOCATION

I’m looking for a job in this general Southwestern Wisconsin region:

– as far east as Madison to

– as far west as Platteville, Wisconsin and…

– as far North as Spring Green to

– as far south as Monroe, Wisconsin

WANTS vs. NEEDS

Here is what I would like from my ideal employer (not job requirements):

– A salary job or hourly position equivalent to $20-25 per hour

– insurance benefits

– profit sharing or regular bonuses

– vacation time which increases with my history with your company

– I will be your employee and not a contractor

– A retirement package, this is a must.

– A commuting package or equivalent mileage reimbursement agreement

– The ideal job gives me security and provides me with a career that I can be passionate about so, your company can’t be run by a bunch of unethical money tycoons.

– I would prefer to work 1st shift but will also settle for 2nd or 3rd shift.

– I would like to be able to work Monday through Friday and have the weekends free.

– I would really like to find a job in the local food, sustainable farming, beer and brewing or other ethical organizational categories.

– Also, a laptop purchasing agreement or loaner for home so my daughter can still access Facebook and I can still play on Fiverr.com during my free time on the weekends…

– Preferably a job I can work from home but still receive a salary, insurance benefits, bonuses, vacation, retirement package, a commuting package with mileage expense built in – in case I have to come into the office and where you as the employer will provide me with office equipment including a Mac and PC (would like that to be a PC laptop)? Oh, and if I’ll be working from home, I will need: a printer; network router (w/ wireless of coarse) and monitors for the 2 computers.

– The ideal employer would provide me with a cell phone package.

– That should cover what I want.
